What you need to know about IRC. This web client is connected to the Freenode network. If you've not done so already, you need to register your "nick".
If you're not logged into AllDroid, you'll need to set your IRC username using /nick SOMENICKNAME where SOMENICKNAME is the nick you want to go by on IRC. Someone may already have it so it might take a couple tries if it's not unique enough. Even if you are signed into AllDroid this can happen, but you may not have to do this command since this client will try for you.
To check if a nick is registered, use:
/msg nickserv info -AD
If the result is "-NickServ- -AD is not registered.", then you're clear otherwise you'll have to append something to it. Perhaps use -ADx
Once you know the nick you want to register, use the following to register it (where {password} and {email} are changed according to your preferences, but you WILL have to remember these and you will have to receive an email to complete registration):
/msg nickserv register {password} {email}
Once you've registered, you need to let Rainabba or Birdman know that you're registered. Email or PM either of them and include your Username and Email (if you don't have the same ones for both IRC and AllDroid, make it clear which is which). This way we can grant you permissions to actually use the developer channel.
Now each time you connect, you must "Identify" yourself to the server with:
/msg nickserv identify {password}
Only in this way will you get full permissions for you nick what ever they may be.
