ZapX BAZINGA 1.5 - Less Blur, Still Social, More Speed and Stability
I feel like I let you guys down, I haven't been on alldroid in forever and I haven't updated the rom here since RC1 and we are all the way at ZapX BAZINGA 1.5 now! I want you guys to know you can always get any of my roms with the latest updates from my website the fastest from Drewgaren.com. Anyways heres what ZapX BAZINGA brings to the table with the most recent update...

Install Instructions:
-Run The Droid X Bootstrapper App
-Click Bootstrap Recovery Just For Kicks
- After it Says Success Click Ok and then Reboot Recovery
-Create a Nandroid back up if you like to be safe
-Go into Mounts and Storage
-Format System
-Format Data (If coming from another rom other then ZapX)
-Format Cache
-Mount System (Make Sure To Do This Step)
-Return to Menu
-Install Zip From SDCard
-Select the ZapX rom of your choice
-Select Yes
-Reboot your System
-The first boot will take a little bit, but then zap, it's zippy as hell.
Overclocking Script Instructions:
Make Sure You Have Uninstalled Any Overclocking Apps. If You Have Jrummy’s Overclocking App That Is Okay.
Make Sure You Have Installed Terminal App From ZapX Apps Folder on SD Card or the Market if you have not already.
Open Terminal App
Type su
Then Type cpu.sh
It will ask you if you want to proceed type y
Then select option 5 set frequencies at boot
Very Important: Select option 4 set high voltage scaling at boot (if you select another option it may not boot)
Select the frequency you wish to use
Then at the main menu type 11
then type reboot to reboot your phone with the new frequencies at boot. And your phone will start up with the new frequencies!
Easy Breezy!

I've been running FlyX, but I'm installing this right now. I'll let you know how it goes! Thus far it seems like it's doing fine, but it's only about halfway through the install bar.

OK, everything seems smooth and nicely simplified without all the extra garbage. However, for some strange reason I can't download Titanium Backup from the market. I tried some other random apps and they worked, but I can't get Titanium Backup again. Each time I select TB, it says "Cancel Download" even if I haven't started it. When I hit the button, it force closes the Market. Ideas?

Got a problem with the zeam launcher backup... put all my widgets back and all of them came back after I had to reboot my phone, with problem loading widget... just FYI

Just wanted to let you know that I downloaded Titanium Backup from the web and everything is running really well! As in, I actually prefer this FAR over FlyX. I really love Birdman's work -- but this ROM has far less bloatware, it runs tons smoother, and it doesn't really hiccup at all. I also love how clean everything is. Nothing extra, just the basics. Super awesome, great, great work. Setup a paypal account, dude!

sometimes there is data issues I suggest since the rom hasn't officially been activated just dial *228 or *22899 and you will be activated and you shouldn't run into those downloading issues again.

Updated to what I think is the latest version with Launcher Pro. Everything seems good.
One question: Anyway to get some of the motorola widgets back? Specific the GPS one.

Why is it necessary to format data...? just drives me insane restoring it all each time.  I don't like Obama... that doesn't mean I'm a racist, it means I'm a republican.

Excellent ROM just one issue so far.
I cannot get any of the animated radars to work. I've tried iMap, Rainy Days, and Weather Channel but none of them work. They force close every time.
Any help is appreciated.

Any help is appreciated. I am aware of this issue, WeatherBug seems to also force close upon opening the app. I do not know why the animated radars do not work. Strangely Radar Now is an animated weather map application that is free and it works perfectly fine. I believe there is something defined within these other programs that is the root of the program, because most of them run fine but the animated maps are the problem. Except Radar Now works perfectly.

I copied the 2.2 version of ToggleWidgets.apk back to /system/app. Changed the permissions to match the other program and changed teh owner and group to root. Still no toggle widgets. Any ideas?

So basically the reason to format data on the first revisions was so that you could wipe out the original that might have stuff fixed in the next release. I'm just wondering if with the RC now out I can format cache and system, but not my data. I don't like Obama... that doesn't mean I'm a racist, it means I'm a republican.

question, I am new to all this ok.
1. My phone is rooted, using Froyo 2.2 don't ask me how I did it I just know I did it right..
I never done any rom other than the one that came with the DX
So, is this going to take my root away and since I never done anything other Rom do I need to do something before I try this one?

Thank you. no this will not take root away and make sure to install droidxbootstrap recovery first you can download the app from the market and then press bootstrap. When bootstrap recovery is installed then you can reboot into bootstrap recovery.

I am already running the one with LauncherPro but I'm curious about trying the others and it's kind of confusing which ones are the most recent. I just want to ask you to label all of the revisions with dates in a more clear way. I don't mean to be greedy, I just don't want to get one that still has issues.

you cannot just copy it you need to adb it. If you copy it and change the permissions it will not work properly. follow the put togglewidget.apk on your sdcard and follow the adb instructions on my help page.

The most recents do not have dates because they are recent. The other has a date. The most recents are ZapX RC1 Revision 3 ZapXLPedition RC1 Revision 3 ZapXzeamer RC1 Revision 3 ZapXadw Revision 2 RC2 will be out by late next week.

Man, I am full of questions, so I did the RC1 rev3 and noticed that says deodexed does that mean I can install themes and I don't have to do the whole deodexed to install them? Sorry for so many questions.
