Buyer


  • Look at the post number and/or join date.

  • Ask about location if not posted. It should be posted!

  • Ask arround about the seller!

  • Do not send any money/funds if you have at least a little doubt about the transaction.

  • Always ask for valid tracking numbers. Even postal service Delivery Confirmation is cheap.

  • If contact with seller is lost for a 3 attempts, File a claim with Paypal or Postal Police (if MONEY ORDER was used).




Seller


  • Look at the post number and/or join date.

  • Ask about location if not posted. It should be posted!

  • Ask arround about the buyer!

  • Do not send any parts/goods if you have at least a little doubt about the transaction.

  • Always provide valid tracking numbers. Even postal service Delivery Confirmation is cheap.




Both


  • Do business in the topic so that there is a CLEAR record of what was agreed on and so other potentially interested parties are up to date (that way you don't get multiple parties accidentally agreeing to buy/sell).

  • Do NOT list contact information in the topic. Google crawls our site and your information WILL likely be harvested for spam. Once a buyer/seller have agreed on terms for the sale, say as much in the public topic then use PMs to swap personal/contact information.

  • In the interest of having additional, unbiased recourse should something go wrong, use PMs at the end of the transaction and at no point should you use email until/unless it's absolutely required. This way you have the protection of logging from AllDroid where-as emails won't stand up to much scrutiny as they are practically he-said/she-said communique.






Use an internet Escrow service such as www.escrow.com



The price is reasonable and it will give you both piece of mind. You can figure out terms such as how long you give the person to inspect/test the item before payment is remitted to you from the escrow service. It also allows sellers to know the moneyis verified good funds (not stolen or floated). 






I highly suggest this to all who are weary about making purchases in this forum especially high price items. Considering it may cost you alittle more at least you will be able to know if your satisfied with the item.






If after considering using an escrow service you are still weary of buying the product then you shouldn't buy it. Especially if you offer to pay for the escrow service and they wish not to.
