Is there any chance Pete will be making a version of Bugless Beast that will run on something other than a Moto Droid?
I'm thinking about getting the Moto Shadow or Droid 2 to replace my Droid. but I don't want to use anything other than BB on my phone (it's just that good).
Are there plans to make BB available for other phones? and if so, which phones? :)

as far as i understand this can be used on any device that has soupported 2.1 firmware, if your upgrading i dont think its a big deal, i meant its just the
firmware thats being delt with, not the phone itself..

but so far firmware has been closely tied to the hardware running it.
I mean, you don't see people with the Droid Eris, or N1, or any other android phone running bugless beast because it won't work on it.

I don't think I'm giving away any secrets by saying this, but I think the reason you don't see BB running on other Android phones (although I think Pete has done a G1 port--someone correct me if this is wrong) is because Pete doesn't own all the phones you mentioned. With the Android OS, you have a fairly generic system image which is universal between most all Android devices (phones, tablets, media player devices, TVs), but the kernel you run is what makes that system image interface with the particular hardware. I am no expert in porting ROMs between different hardware, but I believe this is a fairly straight forward task if you have the drivers for the device you are porting to. Obviously, any device's factory ROM will have the drivers it needs. Anyway, I do not think Pete is technically limited in porting BB to other devices. I think it is simply a matter of him not having all those Android devices in hand to perform the port. I'm pretty sure Pete wouldn't turn down any free phones if anyone wants to provide him with some. ;-) Motorola DROID · BB v0.4 - Froyo FRF84B · Stock Theme Pete's 800Mhz Kernel · ClockworkMod Recovery Follow me on Twitter: http://twitter.com/MrBlippy Check out the Bugless Beast FAQ: http://alldroid.org/tabi...9/FAQ-Bugless-Beast.aspx Bugless Beast Toolkit Info: http://alldroid.org/tabi...Toolkit-by-MrBlippy.aspx Gloatware: http://www.speedtest.net/rank/1191826797.png

I believe(dont quote me on this) but i think that as soon as alldroid gets its bearings and gets on it feet we plan on buying some more phones for the different devs on here...so that they can begin rooting/making roms for the other devices. Again this is what i think i heard a couple weeks ago but im not sure exactly what the plan is. that's good news.
I wish I had the $$ to buy Pete some extra phones to play with :)
I guess for now, I'm just going to look forward to Pete's version of Froyo on the droid, and then later see which other phones he can get his roms on.
(I've got an upgrade eligible line itching to be used on a new Shadow or droid 2 or whatever else is coming out soon) :)

Just curious what files from a rooted device would be needed I.e. would a system dump from a device work? Or are there more that would be needed ? Just curious as I have an lg ally that I managed to get rooted and would love to have a rom for.
