hey guys i've been away for a while due to finals and a couple problems at home but all is good now. anything big i miss?? i see froyo is out (yes i've been away for that long i guess)

sooo anyway i found the one thing droid doesn't!! but in a good way

Droid doesn't break or crack the first time you drop it

my friend somehow managed to get an iphone 4g already and was showing it off until BAM he dropped it and the screen cracked down the middle..haha if anyone remembers on merely-droid i wrote a story how i dropped my phone in the middle of the street and it got ran over..back got scratched but that was about it. Droid does durable :D

now i would really do prefer a droid over iphone 4 but i must say that that the iphone design is sexxxyyyyyy. haha. dunno how your friend got iphone 4 but i dont think the screen would crack that easily... its supposed to be an extremely durable glass. 30x stronger than plastic or w/e.

on the other hand, i fell off my bike the other day, and my droid dropped out of my pocket on to cement..... i was like OMFG!!!! my knee hit my droid as well... T.T but lucky i had a case on it so the body wasnt damaged and the screen was fine nothing broken. i was like....... O.O but was soooooo happy. freaked out though... thank god for gorilla glass... haha

yea idk how he got it either but it was the real thing..maybe he has connections in apple or at&t..i have some in verizon...haha when my droid got ran over it didnt have anything so it really is that durable, i think its because everything is so compact and together that there isnt much room for anything to move and break

Can't say I'm a big fan of the Droid's design, but I have to give Motorola mad props for building it like a tank.  I have equal confidence in my naked Droid and my iPod touch wrapped up in a rubber and high impact plastic shell.

Actually, you might be surprised.  I had AT&T when I lived outside of Knoxville, TN, and that was the only provider that had any kind of signal.  I went to buy an iPhone in July 2008 and the AT&T salesman actually told me it would be a bad idea because I told him I had a habit of dropping my phones and/or bumping into counter corners and whatnot with my phone on my belt or in my pocket.  He gave up his commission to tell me that the iPhone wasn't the phone for me, and that I'd be stuck buying a new one every time I broke one because AT&T didn't/doesn't offer insurance.  He specifically told me that simply dropping the iPhone, even just on its corner, would be enough to crack the screen, and that they'd had multiple instances of that every week since the phone was released in 2007.  And this was a moderately sized mall store in Saratoga, NY.

well like i said apple has improved their glass. maybe it wont break as easily as 3g or 3gs. haha. oh well. i saw a picture today where the iphone 4 has already cracked........  the article was saying its gonna be 2x's as worse cuz the back is also glass as well hahahaa. article also said even if the body and the back is sexy what does it matter if your gonna have to put a case over it to keep it from cracking? hahaha. (some truth to that in all sexy phones though..... hmmm lol)

Ooooooh yes.  I also really respect high dpi screens.  I never thought Apple would be the first to up the ante and definitely not on one of their phones instead of a professional monitor for designers.

Droid's design is not super great, but reliability seems very good: it does not break and I like it.
