Blackbird wrote:Couple of questions.
First, I decided to upgrade to 4.2 because the moddified MMS.apk was giving me grief on 4.1 with com.android.mms force closing, and android.acore failing when messages were sent. in 4.2 #swmms is gone it looks like? Maybe the bugs out of that modded MMS just couldn't be worked out.
Second and more importantly i'm having issues with #rstapps.
#rstapps -acc worked in about 30 seconds.
#rstapps -a I let sit for 5 minutes with no luck
#rstapps -c I let do the same with no luck
then repeated and gave 10 minute intervals and still nothing out of either of them.
The # never appeared below the script so I know it was either processing alot, or got stuck in an infinite loop somewhere. Was just wondering if anyone else had any issues?
I know you said when you tried your scripts it took a few minutes atmost to restore a somewhat large ammount of data so that's why I stopped after 5 minutes initially.
Thanks love the rom other wise Yep, swmms is gone until the 'alternate MMS' is straightened out - I believe it is Koush's work Before you ran bkapps -c in 4.1 - did you make sure to download the new bkapps? If not - that's why rstapps didn't work in 4.2 .. let me know

Will this load from scratch?
Thanks again
Yes you can - I would suggest installing bkapps to your 3.1 and running bkapps -c there ... then wipe, install 4.2, run rstapps -c .. let me know

With the ULV1200 kernel it just freaking screams, looking forward to a FRF84B release. Thanks :) 4.3 will be released by end of day today at the latest ...

I would also like to know what is the best way to root my phone or if this rom will work in DroidMODs SPrecovery exploit on an unrooted 2.1 update-1. Do you have a step by step guide to installing this rom. You can use Titanium Backup to backup - not sure if that requires root or not ... As far as rooting - I can't get into a detailed explanation of that, there are various guides both here and on DroidForums.net that would explain it better than I can anyway ;)

Thanks. Titanium does require root. By the way your Rom looks really sweet.
