First off, you're not a "Stoopid noob"..We all need some guidance sometimes...All you need to do is place the theme anywhere on your SD card then in recovery mode, install zip from Sd card> choose zip> then after install, just reboot system. You couls also install themes by doing the "update.zip" way. Just rename the theme to "update.zip" w/out the quotes though:) and just be sure its on the main folder of your SD card. Then all you do is, reboot into recovery mode thru Rom Manager or power off droid and hold power button plus the X key (simultaneously) until recovery mode populate then just choose install update.zip. Good luck though and don't refer to yourself in such a negative fashion again...

How much more interesting can this get Liquid????? Start adding some more widgets like a Gmail, sms, and email widget..or go crazy and add a "FULLY" functional working HTC SENSE UI to the MOTO DROID and you'll be the "ULTIMATE" man instead of being the man now..like Isaid before Liq, Am liquid for a very long time if you keep up this Amazing run..btw, My debit card came in today and should be able to reward you for all of the Expertise that you've shared w/us:):):):):):)

Ok, I got my froyo update OTA the other day and after so much anticipation.... I hate the shit out of it. So now I'm running frg01b and would like to know how do I root my droid first of all, and then how do I install one of these roms? I'm new to this (as if you can't tell) so any help would be awesome, thanks!

Tryin to figure this out here... So do I DL the LFY file, rename it to update.zip, put in root of SD, then go through the process of hold x while powering on etc? And with the themes, is that done at the same time or I have to reboot and install LFY first then go back and do it again with the themes and/or kernels??

Each file you want to install has to be done separately.  If you get ROM Manager from the market it will let you stack files, so you can tell it do first the ROM, then do the theme, then do the kernel...

I have tried doing it directly through Clockwork and through rom manager. My sd is also in FAT32 format if that makes any difference, but I have also tried it in FAT.

Try re-downloading the file.  Maybe use your PC and send it over to the SD card via USB.

Just rooted my droid with easy root, and downloading LFY on my droid... I'm really looking forward to this. My one question is, which kernels do I need to use?

Downloaded the LFY file. In astro, how do I move it from sdcard/download to the root of the SD card?

I don't have astro open in front of me but you should be able to find the file you wanna move then press and hold it- edit- move (or cut and paste) to wherever you want to move it from.

Also, I have just tried to download LFY but it gives me an "error in SD card status 7" message. Did you use Clockword Mod or what?

I haven't got that message at all. I think I'm using clockworkmod. Can you help me clarify something? In rom manager, i click install rom from sd card, select the LFYv1.3.zip file, hit wipe data and cache and it asks to reboot in recovery mode then takes me to the screen where i have to hold the volume and camera button... then i have the option to reboot or install update.zip from sdcard. I didn't rename LFY to update.zip. Did it do that on it's own and is that what i need to select before install???

In ROM Manager have you selected to flash clockwork mod recovery? It's the top selection when you open rom manager.

With regards to kernels all droids are different, it's just depends on what your individual droid can handle. Im running chevys1 low-v 1.1 and it's working great.

Yes, then you will not have to rename the .zip.
