I did some file comparisons with 2.1 and 2.2 wasnt as easy as figuring it out as both versions have same set of pngs at 2.1 2.2 contains a few additional icons.  Turns out 2.1 will use a file for example button_press.9.png for the dialer and froyo uses button_press_green.9.png those aint the actual names and cant remember of the top of my head some trial and error pinpointed it.



Mount /system/ and  place this in the /system/app/ folder and set your permissions...reboot phone and enjoy.

if you dont reboot you will see a application not installed message if you try to use the phone.

To make this proper you should do a write up that will be beneficial to the community and keep some people from trying to poke around in their phone when they might not know what they are doing =)

The version posted above is for non-deodexed froyo system I will post a version for deodexed systems. This is simply the black dialer you once had in dx 2.1 its nothing fancy just atches better Ill explain permissions better when I get some time early this week hang in there guys school just started for my daughter and working 14 hrs a day and doing daddy day care for my son drains me But Ill get it right no worries
